PHILADELPHIA - Led by Quinton Rose with 23 points, six Owls scored in double figures to lead Temple men's basketball to a 90-73 win over visiting ECU (9-14, 3-9). It was the fourth straight win for Temple (14-10, 6-6), and gave the Owls their 1,900th all-time program victory.

Individual Highlights
> Temple's six players in double figures were its most since Nov. 11, 2016 when six reached double-digits in an overtime win vs. La Salle.
> Freshman J.P. Moorman II posted career highs in both points (11) and rebounds (12) for his first career double-double, with his 12 rebounds being the most by a Temple player in any game this season.
> Josh Brown tied his career high with 17 points while pulling down eight boards, and Shizz Alston, Jr. scored 14 while dishing a game-high seven assists.
> Nate Pierre-Louis and Ernest Aflakpui rounded out the double-figure Owls with 10 points each.

Keys to the Game
> Temple's free-throw shooting was the catalyst for its success, as the Owls hit 20-of-26 (77 percent) to tie for their most free throws in a game this season. ECU was just 5-of-8 from the line.
> The Owls never trailed in the contest, and the score was tied one time early in each half.
> It was a one-point game with 15:33 left in the second half, but a 12-0 Temple run gave the Owls a comfortable lead the rest of the way.
> Rose had just six points in the first half, but scored 14 of the Owls' first 21 second-half points and ultimately finished with 23 to lead all players.

First Half
> The Owls never trailed in the opening period, and took their first double-digit lead early at 15-4 just under six minutes in.
> Temple had plenty chances at the stripe and made 12 of 14 in the half including two on an ECU technical foul.
> The Pirates had the margin down to three, 21-18 near the midway point, but it was as close as they would get the rest of the way.
> Five straight free throws gave the Owls their largest first-half lead of 12 points, 38-26 with 4:43 left.
> ECU closed on a 9-3 to narrow Temple's halftime lead to six, 41-35.

Second Half
> An early 7-0 run for the Pirates tied the game for the first time since the opening minute.
> Temple never let ECU take a lead, but the Owls were up by just a point at 15:33.
> Rose almost single-handedly took over the game for Temple, scoring 14 of the Owls' first 21 points in the period, including six in a 12-0 run them up by 13, 63-50 at 12:11.
> ECU got within single digits twice down the stretch, but never came within fewer than eight.
> Moorman came up big in the final 12 minutes with 11 points, and hit a three-pointer with one minute left to give the Owls their largest lead of 18 points, 89-71.
> On his birthday, Steve Leonard saw action in the final minute and posted his first point and rebound of the season.
