No. 7 Seed Men's Basketball Set to Face No. 10 Tulane in AAC First Round

PHILADELPHIA - The season continues on Thursday, March 8 for Temple men's basketball in the first round of the Aaron's American Athletic Conference Championships at the Amway Center in Orlando, Fla. The seventh-seeded Owls (16-14) will take on 10th-seeded Tulane (14-16) at 7 p.m. (ESPNU / 1210 AM WPHT) in the third game of day one.
Tournament Tidbits
> The Owls are playing in their fifth American Athletic Conference Tournament after 30 years of Atlantic 10 Tournaments.
> Temple's overall record in the American Tournament is 2-4.
> Last year, the eighth-seeded Owls lost 80-69 to ninth-seeded ECU in the first round. In 2015-16, the top-seeded Owls rolled past USF in the quarterfinals, 79-62, but lost 77-62 to fifth-seeded UConn in the semifinals.
> In 2014-15, fourth-seeded Temple beat fifth-seeded Memphis 80-75 in the American Tournament Quarterfinals before falling 69-56 to top-seeded SMU in the semifinals.
