Field Hockey Loses 3-0 to City Rival Penn

PHILADELPHIA (Penn) - Senior goalkeeper Chloe Johnson made 11 saves, but Temple field hockey was unable to come up with much offensively in a 3-0 loss at Penn (5-5). The Owls (2-9) earned two penalty corners, one at the end of each half, but couldn't get on the board.
Game Summary
> The Quakers' Alexa Schneck scored on a corner in the fourth minute of the game, but it was the lone tally on the scoreboard for 51 minutes of the 70-minute contest.
> Johnson's performance in the cage kept Penn from scoring again in the first half, but the Owls weren't able to get a shot on goal.
> Temple's best chances in the game came on corners at both the end of the first half and the end of the second, but only one shot was ever taken and it was blocked by Penn's defense.
> In the 52nd minute, Erin Kelly put Penn up 2-0, and she assisted on Schneck's second goal in the 61st minute.
