PHILADELPHIA -- The Temple women's basketball team continues conference on the road on Wednesday, traveling to Cincinnati to take on the Bearcats at 7:00 p.m. on ESPN3.

THE OWLS
> Temple is 4-11 overall, 3-2 at home and 1-9 away from McGonigle Hall.
> The Owls have posted three losses to open conference play, most recently falling 78-65 on the road at Houston on Saturday.
> Sophomore Mia Davis leads Temple on both ends of the floor, averaging 18.4 points and 8.2 rebounds per game.
> Graduate student Alliya Butts is second on the team in scoring, with 14.6 points per game, while leading the Owls with averages of 4.3 assists and 2.3 steals per outing.
> Freshman Marissa Mackins has emerged as Temple's third scorer, averaging 7.4 points per game and is second on the Owls with 32 assists.
> Rookie Alexa Williamson has made five straight starts, averaging 5.4 points and 3.7 rebounds per game, while junior Shantay Taylor is averaging 4.4 points and 5.5 boards per outing.
> Sophomores Desiree Oliver (5.8 ppg) and Emani Mayo (5.4 ppg) also aid the Temple offense.
> As a team, Temple is shooting 38.1% from the field and 27.5% from long range.

LAST TIME OUT: Houston 78, Temple 65
> In a back-and-forth game, Temple fell victim to one too many runs from Houston, falling 78-65 on the road.
> After a hot first quarter, Temple led by as many as 11 points in the second, before giving up a huge Houston run that put the hosts up by four.
> Trailing by nine, the Owls cut into Cougars lead in the third and tied it up early in the fourth before a final surge from the hosts sealed it,
> Houston shot 47.3% from the field to Temple's 43.6%, while holding a 37-29 advantage on the glass.
> Mia Davis led the Owls with 19 points. 
> Alliya Butts had 16 points, four assists and three steals, while sophomore Desiree Oliver had eight points and four assists.

SCOUTING CINCINNATI
> Cincinnati enters Wednesday's match-up with a 9-7 record, 1-2 in American play. 
> Since topping SMU on January 6, the Bearcats have lost back-to-back games to the conference's top teams UConn and UCF.
> On Sunday, Cincinnati fell 56-55 at UCF, as the Knights scored the final four points of the game to pull out the win.
> IImar'I Thomas, the reigning American Freshman of the Year, leads the Bearcats with 12.2 points and 7.1 rebounds per game.
> Antoinette Miller averages 10.9 points and a team-best 5.1 assists per outing.
> Nikira Goings (9.6 ppg), Sam Rodgers (9.1 ppg) and Angel Rizor (8.5 ppg, 6.3 rpg) round out the offense for Cincinnati.
> As a team, the Bearcats shoot 40.9% from the field and 28.7% from long range.

LAST TIME OUT: UCF 56, Cincinnati 55
> Cincinnati led for nearly 30 minutes of play before succumbing to a late UCF run, falling 56-55 on the road on Sunday.
> After relinquishing the lead late, the Bearcats took a 55-52 advantage with under a minute to play, but UCF answered with four unanswered points to grab the win.
> Angel Rizor finished with 16 points and a career best six assists, while Nikira Goings added 11 points.
> IImar'I Thomas chipped in with eight points and eight rebounds.

TEMPLE VS. CINCINNATI
> Temple owns the all-time series with Cincinnati, 6-3.
> The Owls had won five straight against the Bearcats, but Cincinnati snapped the streak with back-to-back wins last season.

LAST TIME THEY MET: Cincinnati 70, Temple 52
> Plagued by a slow start and poor shooting, Temple fell 70-52 to visiting Cincinnati at the Owls' annual "School Day" game.
> Cincinnati got out to an early lead thanks to a strong defensive first quarter and never looked back. 
> The visitors held Temple to just 10 points on 31.3% shooting in the first period, and Temple was unable to make up the deficit despite a series of runs in the second and third quarters. 
> Cincinnati's Ana Owens and Shanice Johnson each scored a game-high 24 points.
> Temple's Tanaya Atkinson posted her fourteenth double-double of the season, finishing with 10 points and 11 rebounds.
> The Owls' Emani Mayo led Temple with 13 points.
