Men’s Basketball Honors Seniors at Home Finale Wednesday

PHILADELPHIA – Temple men's basketball will honor its five senior players and four senior managers prior to taking on American Athletic Conference co-leader Tulsa Wednesday night (7 pm/ESPN3/1210 AM WPHT) at the Liacouras Center. The Owls (14-15, 6-10 AAC) will be looking for revenge against the Golden Hurricane (20-9, 12-4 AAC), who won the first game in the season series in Oklahoma.

PROMOTIONS
> Senior Night:  Five Temple senior players (Anto Keshgegian, Alani Moore II, Damion Moore, Quinton Rose, Tim Waddington) and four-year Owl managers (Raven Cordner, Michael Crompton, Luke Moratelli, James Polisi) will be honored in a pregame ceremony.
> Military Appreciation Night:  The first 1,000 fans will receive a American flag themed Temple T logoed headband courtesy of IBEW. We'll also be acknowledging all military during the game presented by Elliott-Lewis.
> Seats for Soldiers:  Elliott-Lewis helped military personnel and their family attend the game for free as part of the Hoops for Troops ticket program. Discounted tickets purchased through the program were donated to local military and veteran organizations. Thank you Elliott-Lewis for your continued support of the Hoops for Troops program.
> Irish Heritage Night: The Temple University Irish Dance Team performing at halftime. Bangers and mash will be available at the concession stands. Limited tickets available in the group section. Click here for more info.

SCOUTING TEMPLE
> Temple, under the direction of head coach Aaron McKie, features a balanced attack with seven players averaging 5.8 ppg or more.
> Senior guard Quinton Rose leads Temple (2nd AAC) in scoring (16.3 ppg), assists (3.5 apg/9th AAC) and steals (2.1 spg/3rd AAC).  Rose, who is also the AAC's all-time leader in points (1,826) and steals (229), is the only player to rank in the Top 10 in the conference in these categories. 
> Junior guard Nate Pierre-Louis leads Temple in rebounding (8.4 rpg/5th AAC), while ranking second in scoring (11.5 ppg), assists (3.1 apg) and steals (1.9/5th AAC).
 > Senior Alani Moore II (8.5 ppg) has doubled his offensive output from last year (4.1 ppg) and is third in the AAC in threes per game (2.1) and second in three-point percentage (.400).
> Rounding out the starting five are senior Damion Moore (2.0 ppg/2.3 rpg) and junior J.P. Moorman II (5.8 ppg/5.1 rpg). Sophomore Jake Forrester (8.0 ppg/4.1 rpg) leads the Owls in field goal percentage (.534).
> Junior De'Vondre Perry (5.9 ppg), redshirt junior Monty Scott (7.4 ppg), who has topped double figures in five of the last seven games, and freshman Josh Pierre-Louis (4.0 ppg) have provided the most impact from the Owls' deep bench. 

SCOUTING TULSA
> Tulsa, under direction of sixth-year head coach Frank Haith, was picked to place 10th in the league by the American Athletic Conference coaches in the preseason poll.
> Like Temple, Tulsa has a balanced attack with three players averaging double figures in scoring and six tallying at least seven points per game.
> Martins Igbanu leads the way for Tulsa, averaging 13.1 ppg, 5.1 rpg. while shooting 55.6 percent from the field. 
> Brandon Rachal is scoring at a 12.4 clip while topping the Hurricane at 5.7 rpg.  Jeriah Horne rounds out the team's top three at 11.1 ppg, 5.2 rpg.
> Tulsa enters the game on a three-game winning streak and has posted five road wins on the season.

SERIES HISTORY
> Temple and Tulsa are meeting for the 13th time with the Golden Hurricane holding a 9-3 advantage.
> The Golden Hurricane won the first meeting in Oklahoma, 70-44, on Jan. 3
> The teams have played six games at the Liacouras Center with each winning three times.  Temple, however, has won two straight at home against Tulsa and three of the last four.
