Men’s Basketball Travels to Cincinnati for Rescheduled Meeting with the Bearcats

CINCINNATI – Expecting to play a home-and-home series with East Carolina, Temple men's basketball now travels to Cincinnati to take on the Bearcats Friday evening (7pm/ESPN+/1210 AM WPHT).
The Owls (4-7, 3-7 AAC) will be looking to avenge a tough 63-60 loss to the Bearcats (5-7, 3-4) on Feb. 4 while also attempting to snap a three-game losing streak.
SCOUTING TEMPLE
> Redshirt freshman Damian Dunn continues to lead the Owls, averaging 15.0 points and 4.8 rebounds per game. The reigning AAC Rookie of the Week also ranks second nationally in free throws made (6.91) and attempted (9.0) per game.
> Sophomore Khalif Battle, who leads the NCAA in minutes per game by a reserve (28.3 mpg), is the only other Temple player averaging double figures at 10.2 ppg.
> Junior Jake Forrester, who has tallied double figures in five of the last six games, averages 9.7 points while leading the team in rebounding (6.4 rpg) and field goal percentage (.575).
> Freshman point guard Jeremiah Williams (8.4 ppg) tops the team in assists (4.4 apg) while senior captains J.P. Moorman II (7.5 ppg, 6.1 rpg) and De'Vondre Perry(8.2 ppg, 5,0 rpg) round out the starting five.
> Grad transfer Brendan Barry (6.4 ppg), who ranks third nationally in minutes per game by a reserve (27.2 mpg), is the team's top three-point threat (20-45, .444).

> The Bearcats are 3-4 in conference play, winning their last two games. The team has had two of its last four scheduled matchups postponed and is returning home after tight wins at Temple (63-60) and Tulane (64-61).
> Keith Williams (15.0 ppg) and Jeremiah Davenport (10.1 ppg) lead the rebuilding Bearcats in scoring.

> Temple and Cincinnati are meeting for the 35th time with UC holding a 25-9 lead in the series.
> The Bearcats have won eight straight, winning both games in last season's series and the first game in this season's series.
