Men’s Basketball Travels to Tulsa for Wednesday Contest

TULSA, Okla. – Fresh off dramatic wins over UCF and ECU, Temple (9-6, 2-2 AAC) will look to extend its win streak to three games when the Owls visit Tulsa (6-7, 0-2 AAC) Wednesday (7 pm/ESPNU/1210 AM).
Temple will put its streak to the test as the Reynolds Center is the only American Athletic Conference venue that the Owls have not posted a win. The Owls have lost all seven meetings at Tulsa, including six encounters as conference foes.
SCOUTING TEMPLE
> Temple has won its last two games with Damian Dunn providing the heroics in each. The standout guard, who earned AAC co-Player of the Week, made game-winning threes in each win, including a buzzer-beater from 25-feet to defeat ECU Saturday.
> Dunn leads the Owls in scoring (15.1 ppg/8th AAC) and free throw percentage (61-72, .847/4th) while tying for first in steals (16) and rebounding (4.7 rpg). Dunn, who made the go-ahead three-pointer in the final seconds at UCF, has averaged 18.6 ppg over the eight games since Khalif Battle (21.4 ppg) was sidelined.
> Jeremiah Williams is second on the team in scoring (9.5 ppg) and runs the show offensively. He leads the Owls in assists (4.9 apg, 4th AAC), assist-to-turnover ratio (2.24/3d AAC) and minutes per game (32.0/8th AAC).
> Temple's sixth man, Tai Strickland, who sat out the last three games with a back issue, is next at 8.2 ppg and is second in three-point percentage (9-25, .360).
> Jake Forrester, who missed the last three games with a non-Covid related illness, leads the team in field goal percentage (.544) while averaging 6.2 ppg and 4.2 rpg.
> Nick Jourdain (5.5 ppg), who scored a career-high 16 points in the win over ECU, has started the last five games, leads the team in blocks (1.5 bpg/3rd AAC) and is tied for the lead in rebounding (4.7 rpg).
> Two players to earn AAC Rookie of the Week are Jahlil White (5.8 ppg/4.6 rpg) and Zach Hicks (5.8 ppg). White, who has started the last four games, scored a career-high 17 points in the Owls win at UCF while Hicks set a school record with 10 threes vs. Delaware State, and his 23 three-pointers leads the team.

> Tulsa, which had announced on Jan. 5 it was postponing its game at UCF due to covid protocol issues, is looking to snap a two-game losing streak.
> Sam Griffin and Jeriah Horne (7.5 rpg) have combined for 59 three-pointers and lead the Golden Hurricane with 16.9 and 16.8 scoring averages, respectively.
> The Golden Hurricane rank second in the conference in turnover margin (+4.23) and third in steals per game (7.77) with Griffin, Horner and Curtis Haywood II for the team lead in steals with 17.
> Darien Jackson (8.2 ppg) comes off the bench to supply an offensive spark and leads the team in field goal percentage (.606).
> Anthony Pritchard (4.3 ppg) runs the offense, averaging 3.0 assists per game
> While Temple is one of the youngest teams in the country, Tulsa is one of the most experienced with five seniors on its roster - Rey Idowu Horne, Jackson, LaDavius Draine and Haywood.
