Men’s Basketball Celebrates Hooter’s Birthday Sunday at Tulsa Game

2.17.23 | Men's Basketball

PHILADELPHIA – One of the best days of the basketball season is here as Temple will celebrate Hooter the Owl's Birthday Sunday during the Owls' men's basketball game against Tulsa (2 pm/ESPNU/1210 AM WPHT) at the Liacouras Center.

The Owls will also welcome back one of its best teams, the 1992-93 Elite Eight team, to celebrate the 30th anniversary of its storybook season.

Temple (14-13, 8-6 AAC) is looking to snap a four-game losing streak and, in the process, sweep Tulsa for the second straight season.  Tulsa (5-20, 1-13 AAC) has lost seven straight and 14 of its last 15 games.  Its lone win in conference play came against Tulane (16-7, 9-3), which is currently in third place in the AAC.
