Temple Takes on Cincinnati Friday in AAC Men’s Basketball Championship Quarterfinals

FORT WORTH, Texas – Temple (16-15, 10-8), the fifth seed, will take on fourth-seeded Cincinnati (20-11, 11-7) on Friday (3 pm/ESPN2/1210 AM WPHT) in the 2023 American Athletic Conference Men's Basketball Championship held at Dickies Arena.
The Owls were picked to finish fifth in the preseason coaches' poll while the Bearcats were selected to place third in the league.
The teams split the season series with each winning on their own court. The Owls defeated the Bearcats, 70-61, on New Year's Day at the Liacouras Center with Cincinnati defeating Temple, 88-83 in overtime, on Feb. 22 at Fifth Third Arena.

> Khalif Battle, who has missed the last four games, leads the Owls and ranks fourth in the American Athletic Conference in scoring (17.9 ppg). He tops the league in free throw percentage (.898, 10th nationally) and is second in threes per game (2.85, t36th nationally).
