Temple moves to 0-0-2 on the season.
BETHLEHEM, Pa.- The Temple men's soccer team battled to a 1-1 draw on Monday night at Lehigh, their second straight tie to open the season. Nikolai Zapolskikh scored the Owls' lone goal, converting off a loose ball in the 53rd minute. It was Temple's first goal of the season and Zapolskikh's first collegiate goal.
How it Happened
> Temple was held scoreless in the first half, with Lehigh outshooting the Owls 6-4 overall and 4-3 on goal. The Mountain Hawks scored off a penalty kick in the 37th minute to take the 1-0 lead.
> Zapolskikh's goal came on his second shot attempt in a 90-second span, as he collected a loose ball and hit the far side of the net.
> The Owls had numerous chances to take the lead in the second half, firing off 15 total shots. Both Xavier Rimpel and Draven Barnett had good looks, but banged the ball off the crossbar both times.

> Zapolskikh led all players with three total shots. He leads the team with five shots so far.
> Flannan Riley picked up four saves. He now has seven saves against one goal allowed to start the season.
