Second Consecutive Offensive Outburst Leads Temple Past Lock Haven

LOCK HAVEN, Pa. - For a second consecutive game, the Temple field hockey team saw six different players score as the Owls downed Lock Haven 6-0 in Sunday afternoon.

BY THE NUMBERS

Marsha Ariesen, Catherine Arentz, Halle Aschenbach, Julia Bunch, Devin Kinzel, and Alize Maes all found the scoring column for TU.
Ariesen and Aschenbach each had an assist as well.
Alex Lepore made her first two collegiate saves.
Temple outshot Lock Haven 22-2 and generated seven penalty corners.

HOW IT HAPPENED

The Owls got on the board first as Bunch found the back of the cage at the 10:58 mark with an assist from Mathea Lassalle.
In the second quarter, Kinzel and Ariesen scored less than four minutes apart to propel TU to a 3-0 lead at halftime.
Midway through the third period, Arentz and Maes each scored. The final as cemented when Aschenbach tallied at the 49:12 mark.

UP NEXT
Temple has a tough challenge when it travels to Charlottesville to take on No. 3 Virginia on Friday, September 6. Game time is scheduled for 5:00 p.m.
