Second Consecutive Offensive Outburst Leads Temple Past Lock Haven

LOCK HAVEN, Pa. - For a second consecutive game, the Temple field hockey team saw six different players score as the Owls downed Lock Haven 6-0 in Sunday afternoon.

Temple has a tough challenge when it travels to Charlottesville to take on No. 3 Virginia on Friday, September 6. Game time is scheduled for 5:00 p.m.

- Marsha Ariesen, Catherine Arentz, Halle Aschenbach, Julia Bunch, Devin Kinzel, and Alize Maes all found the scoring column for TU.
- Ariesen and Aschenbach each had an assist as well.Â
- Alex Lepore made her first two collegiate saves.
- Temple outshot Lock Haven 22-2 and generated seven penalty corners.
- The Owls got on the board first as Bunch found the back of the cage at the 10:58 mark with an assist from Mathea Lassalle.
- In the second quarter, Kinzel and Ariesen scored less than four minutes apart to propel TU to a 3-0 lead at halftime.Â
- Midway through the third period, Arentz and Maes each scored. The final as cemented when Aschenbach tallied at the 49:12 mark.
