Gymnastics Gear Up for Senior Night Against Bowling Green

PHILADELPHIA -Â The Temple Owls are set to return to Philadelphia for a dual meet with the Bowling Green Falcons on Friday, February 21 at 6:00 PM. This will be the team's senior night.
VAULT Â
Temple showed consistency on vault in the meet against Kentucky, finishing with solid individual performances. Kyrstin Johnson and Hannah Weklar led the way, each posting a 9.750. Renee Schugman and Nikki Rengifo followed closely with matching 9.700s, while Amelia Budd added a 9.625. Harmony Haro rounded out the lineup with an 8.575 to complete the rotation.Â
BARS
Temple opened the meet on bars with a steady performance, highlighted by Megan White's team-leading 9.775. Sarah Stallings followed closely with a 9.750, while Hannah Weklar added a solid 9.725. Reese DeHaan kicked off the night for Temple with a season-high 9.725, while Mariella Brueck contributed 9.650. Breanna Varano rounded out the lineup with a 9.075 to complete the rotation.
BEAMÂ
Temple closed the meet with a strong final rotation on the balance beam, earning a team total of 48.625. Brooke Donabedian and Megan White led the way with matching 9.800s. Madison Dorunda followed with a solid 9.700, while Summer Ruskey rounded out the lineup with a 9.675 to close the night for the Owls.
FLOOR
Temple performed well in their third rotation on the floor, posting a team total of 48.425. Summer Ruskey and Brooke Donabedian led the way with matching scores of 9.775. Nikki Rengifo finished her second career collegiate floor routine with a career-high 9.725, improving by 0.100 from her previous performance during the William & Mary dual meet.
SCOUTING BOWLING GREEN
Bowling Green fought against Western Michigan, which was highlighted by Keira Thornton's first collegiate event win with a 9.775 on the floor. Megan Bingham nearly claimed the all-around title, finishing just 0.25 points off the lead with a 38.925. The Falcons also saw key contributions from Katrina Mendez Abolnik, who tied her season high with a 9.800 on vault, and Bingham, who set season bests on bars (9.775) and beam (9.800). Faye Dubin posted a personal record on beam with a 9.700, while Nadia Parente matched her season high on the event with a 9.750.Â

Temple will be on the road to Chapel Hill, NC for the North Carolina Meet on Feb. 28 6:45 p.m., where they will face off against North Carolina University, University of Pennsylvania and Yale University.
