Owls come up short against top seed UMass

PHILADELPHIA – Lindsay Bowman scored off of a Katie Kelly pass just over three minutes into the first overtime period to give the Massachusetts Minutewomen a 1-0 victory over the Cherry and White in the Atlantic 10 Tournament Semifinals on Friday afternoon.

The loss ends the season for Temple (9-12, 4-3 A-10) while the top-seeded Minutewomen (14-6, 7-0 A-10) will face second-seeded Lock Haven in the Atlantic 10 Championship at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 6 at Geasey Field.

Temple senior goalkeeper Sarah Dalrymple continued her outstanding play as she recorded 10 saves in the contest, with six coming in the first half.

The Owls played well throughout the contest but could only manage three shots on goal.

Katie Briglia and Bridget Settles each recorded a shot on goal for Temple.

At the conclusion of the tournament, Dalrymple, Settles and Becca Keener were each named to the A-10 All-Tournament Team.
