Field Hockey Set to Play at Delaware and Drexel This Weekend

Owls will face Blue Hens on Friday and Dragons on Sunday; both teams receiving votes in the national poll

PHILADELPHIA - The field hockey team will stay close to home for its two road games this weekend, as the Owls (2-4) go a short ways to play Delaware (3-2) on Friday night at 7:00 p.m. before returning home to play at Drexel (4-2) on Sunday at 1:00 p.m.

Both the Blue Hens and the Dragons are receiving votes in the national coaches poll. Delaware holds a 17-10-1 advantage in the all-time series against Temple including a 2-1 overtime win in Philadelphia last year. The Owls lead Drexel 16-7-1 all-time, but the Dragons took last year's meeting by a score of 3-1.

Temple is led by reigning Atlantic 10 Player of the Week, senior Bridget Settles who has scored eight goals so far this season including two hat tricks. Settles scored the second hat trick in Temple's most recent game, a 4-3 overtime win against Kent State last Sunday.
