PHILADELPHIA -
The Temple men's basketball team will look to get back to its winning ways Wednesday (7:00 pm/OwlAccess/1210 AMWPHT) when the Owls (13-6, 2-3 A10) host Richmond (13-8, 3-3 A10) in a key Atlantic 10 Conference battle.

Temple will also honor one of its all-time greats as Hal Lear, the MVP of the 1956 NCAA Final Four, will have his #6 retired in a formal ceremony at halftime.  Lear's number will be just the fourth retired in Temple men's basketball history, joining Guy Rodgers (#5), Mark Macon (#12) and Bill Mlkvy (#20) in the rafters.

The Owls, under the direction of head coach Fran Dunphy, are coming off an 83-71 loss at then #9/9 Butler Saturday.  Senior guard Khalif Wyatt, arguably the hottest player in the league, leads the A10 in scoring with a 17.7 average.  Over the last five contests, he has scored at a 24.2 points per game clip with TU winning three of those games.

Sophomore forward Anthony Lee leads Temple in rebounding (7.4 ppg.) while his 11.8 scoring average ranks second on the squad.  Senior swingman Scootie Randall (11.1 ppg., 6.8 ppg.) is coming off his best offensive outing since December (13 pts, 5-10 FGs, 3-5 3-pts).

Sophomore Will Cummings (5.4 ppg.) starts at the point with graduate student Jake O'Brien (7.8 ppg.), the team's top three-point threat (.423), rounding out the probable starters.

Senior Rahlir Hollis-Jefferson (8.4 ppg., 5.4 rpg.), who has been slowed by a bruised knee of late, came off the bench to score 11 points against Butler.  Junior Dalton Pepper (2.2 ppg.) and Quenton DeCosey (2.5 ppg.) will also see minutes while graduate guard T.J. DiLeo (3.0 ppg.), the team's top perimeter defender, is questionable for the game due to a sprained ankle.

Richmond, under the direction of Chris Mooney, dropped a tough 70-65 decision at UMass Saturday after stunning nationally-ranked VCU (86-74, OT) earlier in week.

Senior Darius Brothers (16.3 ppg.) leads the Spider attack, which has been missing their main inside scorer, junior Derrick Williams (13.6 ppg., 6.8 rpg.), for the past seven games. Sophomore guard Kendall Anthony (13.5 ppg.) provides an offensive spark off the bench.

Temple owns a narrow, 10-9, advantage in the series, but has won the last three meetings at the Liacouras Center.  Richmond's last win at Temple came on January 17, 2004 (59-52).
