Men's Basketball Heads to UConn for Tuesday Night Match-Up on CBS Sports Network

PHILADELPHIA
- The last contest in a three-game road swing takes Temple men's basketball to Connecticut (14-4, 2-3) for a 7:00 p.m. contest on Tuesday, Jan. 21 at the XL Center in Hartford. The game will be broadcast live on CBS Sports Network. The Owls (5-11, 0-5) will return to their home court on Sunday against #15/16 Cincinnati for the first of three straight home games.

• Temple is currently the only team in Division I to have four players averaging 14 or more points per game.

• Dalton Pepper tops the team in scoring (17.3 ppg, 3rd AAC), three-pointers (2.8 pg, 1st AAC) and 3-pt percentage (.431, 9th).

• Anthony Lee (14.3 ppg) leads the conference in rebounding (9.9 rpg), and has eight double-doubles on the season and two consecutive after scoring 19 points and adding a career-high 15 rebounds vs. La Salle.

• Quenton DeCosey (16.4 ppg, 7th AAC) is the only Owl to have scored in double figures in every game this season, and led all players with 21 points vs. La Salle.

• Will Cummings ranks third on the team and eighth in the league with 16.1 ppg, and has scored in double figures in 12 of 14 games played.

• During the Owls' current six-game losing streak - the program's longest since the 2001-02 season - Temple has had three starting players injured with a total of nine games missed.

• Temple and UConn have met seven times, but the last meeting was on Jan. 27, 1965 at UConn, a game the Huskies won 71-60.

• UConn has won two straight in the series, with the Owls' last win being a 53-45 decision at the Palestra on Jan. 29, 1964.

• The Huskies are led by senior guard Shabazz Napier in both scoring (16.8 ppg) and rebounding (6.1 rpg).

• UConn started the season 9-0 and was ranked in both national polls until losing three of five from mid-December to early January.

• The Huskies had rebounded with three straight wins before suffering a 76-64 home loss to #18/14 Louisville on Jan. 18.
