PHILADELPHIA - Temple field hockey will look for its third straight home win as the Owls (4-8, 0-4) host BIG EAST and city rival Villanova (4-8, 1-3) on Friday, Oct. 13 at 6 p.m. The Owls will also play at home on Sunday, facing city rival Penn at 2 p.m.

> Friday is MVP (Most Valuable Professors) Day. Temple field hockey student-athletes nominated their favorite professors, many of whom will be on hand to be recognized prior to the start of the game.

Scouting Temple
> Temple has won its last two home games, both by a score of 3-2 and both in overtime. Most recently, redshirt senior Sarah Keer coverted on a penalty stroke in OT to lift the Owls to a 3-2 win vs. UC Davis on Oct. 8.

> Sophomore Kathryn Edgar is one of three players with two goals to tie for second on the team, and Edgar has a team-best five assists as well. Keer and sophomore Maddie Merton have also scored two goals apiece.
> Freshman Taylor Alba recorded both her first career goal and first career assist in the Owls' loss at Georgetown on Sept. 29, and added a second assist on Mueller's game-tying goal vs. UC Davis.
> Edgar was named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll for her three-assist effort in the Owls' win vs. Sacred Heart on Sept. 24. Mueller earned the same honor after scoring twice in the Owls' 3-1 win at Holy Cross, and Keer was named to this week's honor roll after her game-winning goal vs. UC Davis.
> Three of Temple's losses have come against nationally ranked teams, while another loss was to Saint Joseph's, now also ranked in the Top 25.

Scouting Villanova
> The Wildcats are 4-8 overall and 1-3 in the BIG EAST with a 2-1 win at Quinnipiac on Sept. 29. They suffered a 12-0 loss to #1 UConn on Oct. 6, but rebounded for a 1-0 win at Lafayette on Oct. 8.
