Field Hockey Looks to Bounce Back Against Liberty

PHILADELPHIA - After opening BIG EAST play in two one-goal losses at Old Dominion, the Temple field hockey team is looking to get back in the win column with a pair of games against Liberty this weekend.Â
Scouting Temple
> The Owls are 1-2 on the young season following two close losses at Old Dominion to open their conference slate.
> Temple dropped both games by one goal, forcing a shootout in the first game after tying it 2-2 early in the fourth quarter.
> Graduate student Veronika Novakova leads the team with two goals, scoring the game-winner in the season opener and the game-tying goal against ODU.
> Senior Dani Batze leads the team in shots, firing five and putting three on target.
> Goalie Cristina Carotenuto has posted nine saves and allowed just three goals for a .900 GAA and a .750 save percentage.
