LAWRENCEVILLE, NJ – Rider University scored three first half goals to give the Broncs a 3-0 victory over the Cherry and White Wednesday afternoon. Rider improved to 6-3 on the season while the Owls fell to 4-6.
Rider opened the scoring 20 minutes into the contest as Lindsay Rajeski found the back of the net off of a penalty corner. Virginia Egusquiza added a penalty stroke goal followed by a nine yard strike off of a penalty corner to give Rider a 3-0 lead thirty minutes into the contest.
The Owls struggled throughout the contest as the high-powered Broncs offense outshot Temple 14-2 in the first half. Rider nearly equaled that same margin by outshooting the Owls 13-2 in the second half.
Temple goalkeeper Sarah Dalrymple made several key saves in the game with a total of 10 on the afternoon.
The Owls return to the field looking to end a six game skid Saturday afternoon at 12:00 p.m. as they travel to Monmouth.
