PHILADELPHIA - The last of five home games in a row for Temple field hockey will have the Owls hosting Colgate on Saturday, Sept. 22 at 1:00 p.m. Subscribers can watch a live webcast of the game HERE, and live stats will be available HERE.

TEMPLE NOTES...
Temple is 3-5 heading into Saturday's game against Colgate, which is the last in a five-game homestand for the Owls. They will play their next three contests on the road before returning home for their conference opener against VCU. Temple is coming off a huge, 5-1 win over then-18th ranked Drexel last Sunday. Freshman Alyssa Delp got things going with two goals in the first 10 minutes, and the Owls cruised from there. Mandi Shearer scored her first goal of the season in the win, while Sydney Hibshman scored the first goal of her career. Rounding out the scoring was Amber Youtz, who leads the team with six goals and five assists this year.

Early in the season, Temple played four straight games that were decided by a single goal. The Owls lost by a goal to both #8 Virginia and #5 Duke, with the Virginia loss coming in overtime. Temple then earned road wins at both Rutgers and Monmouth by one goal apiece.

SOPHOMORE SENSATION...
Sophomore Amber Youtz has already racked up six goals and five assists for Temple this season, for a total of 17 points. She has well surpassed her 2011 season total of 10 points, and currently leads all players in the Atlantic 10 in both goals and points. Her point total is four more than the next-closest player in the conference. Among all players in NCAA Division I, Youtz ranks 17th in points per game (2.13), 23rd in assists per game (0.63) and 30th in goals per game (0.75).

ROOKIE OF THE WEEK...
After scoring two goals including the game-winner in a 5-1 win over #18 Drexel, freshman Alyssa Delp was named the Atlantic 10 Rookie of the Week on Sept. 17. Delp is making her mark as a rookie, currently ranking second on the team with five goals. With 0.62 goals per game, Delp is now tied for second among all players in the A-10 and ranks in a tie for 50th in NCAA Divison I.

SCOUTING COLGATE...
The Raiders come into Saturday's game with a record of 1-6. They have lost four straight, including most recently dropping a heartbreaker in double-overtime to Lock Haven, 3-2. Junior Halle Biggar leads Colgate with five goals, while senior Lauren Dittman has scored three.
